Procusign · eSignatures for procurement

Sign procurement documents,
in minutes, not days.

Upload a Purchase Order, NDA, Contract or MOU — add your signers, hit send. Procusign handles the signing flow, audit trail and storage. Powered by Documenso, the open-source eSignature platform.

What is Procusign

The eSignature tool procurement teams actually want to use.

Procusign is an eSignature platform built specifically for procurement workflows. You upload a Purchase Order, NDA, Contract, MOU or any other procurement document — add the people who need to sign, and Procusign sends the document for legally-binding eSignature. Signers can complete the signing flow from any device, in any language, in under a minute.

Under the hood, Procusign is built on Documenso, the open-source eSignature platform. That means your documents are signed with a real, auditable, court-recognised signature — not a screenshot of an Adobe signature. And because the code is open source, you can see exactly how your signatures are generated and verified.

  • Open source
Powered by Documenso — the signing engine is open source, audited by the community.
  • Legally binding
eIDAS-compliant signatures, full audit trail and certificate of completion for every document.
  • Procurement-ready
Multi-party signing, in-order signing, signer roles, custom fields, automated reminders.
  • Privacy by design
Your documents and signatures stay in your jurisdiction. No data resale.
How it works

Three steps from upload to signed.

No templates to set up. No training videos. Upload, sign, done.

Watch the 90-second walkthrough to see upload, signing, and delivery in action.

1

Upload document

Drag and drop a PDF — PO, NDA, contract, MOU, anything. Procusign accepts any PDF up to 50 MB.

2

Add signers

Type the email addresses of everyone who needs to sign. Set the order if it matters (e.g. buyer signs first).

3

Send & sign

Click send. Each signer gets a clean email, signs in their browser, and the signed document is delivered to all parties.

🔓
OPEN SOURCE

Built on Documenso. The signing engine is open source.

Most eSignature tools are black boxes — you upload a contract to a vendor and hope for the best. Procusign is built on Documenso, the world's leading open-source eSignature platform. The signing cryptography, audit trail format, and certificate generation are all open source and auditable.

You can read the source on GitHub, verify the signatures yourself, and migrate to self-hosting if your procurement team ever needs it. That's the kind of trust you can't get from a closed SaaS.

Why Procusign

Built for the way procurement teams actually work.

Generic eSignature tools miss the specifics. Procusign is built for procurement workflows from day one.

📄

PO, NDA, contract, MOU

Optimised for the four document types procurement teams send every week. Smart field placement for counter-signature blocks, witness fields, and approval lines.

👥

Multi-party signing

Add 2 signers or 12. In-order or parallel. Set roles (buyer, supplier, witness) and Procusign keeps the signing flow tight.

🔐

Legally binding

eIDAS-qualified signatures, full audit trail, certificate of completion attached to every signed document. Court-recognised in 27 EU countries.

📧

No app to install

Signers complete the signing flow from their email. They never need to create an account, install software, or remember a password.

📱

Mobile-first signing

Signers can complete the signing flow from their phone in under 60 seconds. Finger-draw, type, or upload a signature image.

🌐

Multi-language

Signer emails and UI auto-translate to the recipient's language. Sign in English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese — without a config toggle.

Automated reminders

Set a reminder cadence (e.g. every 48h) and Procusign chases pending signers for you. No more "did you get my email?" follow-ups.

🔌

Webhooks & API

Every signing event (sent, viewed, signed, completed) hits a webhook. Wire it to your ERP, Slack, or CRM. Zapier and Make.com supported.

📂

Templates & bulk send

Save your standard NDA, MSA, or PO as a template. Send to 50 suppliers in one batch — Procusign merges data and sends personalised envelopes.

🇪🇺

GDPR-native

No cross-border data transfers. Full GDPR compliance out of the box.

Get started

From signup to first signed PO in 10 minutes.

Procusign is built to be usable without a training session. Here's the playbook we recommend.

1. Sign up free

Email only. No credit card. You get 2 signatures/month on the free tier, forever.

2. Upload your first document

Drag any PDF into the dashboard. Procusign accepts PO, NDA, contract, MOU, anything.

3. Add signers

Type the email addresses. Set the order if needed. Default is parallel signing — fastest for most procurement flows.

4. Place signature fields

Drag signature blocks, dates, and text fields onto the document. Procusign auto-suggests positions based on document type.

5. Send & track

Hit send. Procusign notifies each signer by email. You see status in real time — sent, viewed, signed.

6. Download the signed PDF

Once everyone has signed, the completed PDF (with audit trail embedded) is delivered to all parties. Store it in your ERP or DMS.

Honest about eSignature

eSignature is mature technology, but not all providers are equal. Here's what to look for — and what to avoid.

🔍

Audit trail matters

A "signed" PDF without an audit trail is not a legally-binding signature. Procusign attaches a full audit trail & certificate of completion to every document.

🌍

Jurisdiction matters

eIDAS in the EU, ESIGN in the US, eIDAS-QES in Germany. Procusign uses Documenso's eIDAS-compliant signing engine — court-recognised in 27 EU countries.

🔒

Open source is safer

Closed SaaS eSignature tools can change their crypto, lose your data, or go bankrupt. Documenso's open source means the signing engine is auditable by anyone.

⚖️

Procurement specifics

Counter-sign blocks, witness fields, approval chains, multi-party sequences. Generic eSignature tools treat every doc as a ToS — Procusign knows the procurement workflow.

FAQ

Questions procurement teams ask before signing up.

Is Procusign legally binding?
Yes. Procusign is built on Documenso, which uses eIDAS-compliant electronic signatures. The signed document comes with a full audit trail and a certificate of completion that is court-recognised in 27 EU countries (and accepted in the US under ESIGN Act). For most procurement documents — PO, NDA, contract, MOU — Procusign signatures are legally equivalent to hand-written signatures.
What documents can I sign with Procusign?
Any PDF up to 50 MB. Procusign is purpose-built for procurement documents — Purchase Orders, NDAs, Contracts, MOUs, MSAs, SOWs, framework agreements — but works with any PDF that needs a legally-binding signature. Spreadsheets, scanned images and DOCX files are not supported; convert them to PDF first.
Do my signers need a Procusign account?
No. Signers complete the signing flow from their email — they never need to create an account, install software, or remember a password. They click the link, view the document, sign on their phone or laptop, and they're done. If they ever need access to their signed documents later, they can create a free account.
Where is my data hosted?
We are GDPR-compliant by design — no third-party trackers, no data sales, no cross-border transfers. Full data processing agreement (DPA) available on request.
What happens if I exceed the 2-signature free tier?
Nothing breaks — you just can't send a new document for signature until you upgrade or until the next month starts. Existing signatures and signed documents remain accessible. Upgrade to Unlimited at any time and your remaining free tier count carries over.
Can I integrate Procusign with my ERP or procurement system?
Yes. Procusign exposes a full REST API and webhooks for every signing event (sent, viewed, signed, completed). Most teams wire it up to SAP, Oracle, Coupa, or their custom ERP in under a day. We also publish Zapier and Make.com integrations for no-code flows.

Stop chasing signatures. Start sending them.

2 free signatures/month, forever. No credit card. No trial clock. Just upload, send, sign.
